Situated just an hour and a half from the bustling centre of Rome, high in the Sabine hills, Le Mole Sul Farfa is a beautiful artisan retreat where you can rest, recharge and reconnect. Wander amongst the ancient olive groves, explore the Roman villa, be nourished by Elisabeth’s delicious vegetarian food and explore the dramatic gorge at the bottom of the valley, where ruins of medieval watermills can be found and the river will nourish your soul.

Our guesthouse is simple, rustic and enchanting, set into a glorious hillside with wide views across the valley. We can help you plan walks and visits in the surroundings, and assist you with logistics and pick up services.
We are passionate cooks and use homegrown or local ingredients to create our own take on traditional dishes: homemade pasta and bread. We serve a variety of vegetarian dishes, and eating is leisurely, often lingering into the night.

Visual wanderings - art retreat
From 15-20 September 2025 we’re hosting an art retreat together with artist Helen Stark. Five days to explore, create, paint, eat and rest. Find out more here!
workshops
It’s possible to book a private pottery workshop during your stay with ceramic artist Karla Sotres of Geografica. During the Creative Experience with clay workshop you will try the hand build pinch technique with earthenware to create up to 3 small and simple ceramic pieces (bowls, spoons, plates).
Another workshops is called The basics of modelling clay. During this workshop you will learn the hand build pinch technique with stoneware.
